Our first Swiss Christmas! The kids woke up at 8:00 am and were so excited to see that Santa had found us in Switzerland. He even left the kids a picture of our house in Milwaukee because that is where he went first. However, the fireplace was covered with plastic to keep the cold air out and he couldn't get in, so he was happy to find us in Morges.
This was Ben's first Christmas morning where he was completely into the presents and just kept grabbing and opening. Sam and Zoe were very patient with his enthusiasm. Zoe and Sam had made some beautiful gifts for Dan and I at school. Sam decorated a plastic tray and Zoe designed four magnets for me and mug for Dan. The highlights for each child are as follows:
Zoe: Plastic head for "doing" hair
Sam: Transformer costume (which he wore all day)
Ben: Toy motorcycle from Zoe (wanted nothing to do with the training bike we got him)
The day was spent enjoying new toys and relaxing. How strange not to have to rush from one family gathering to another. We received skype calls from my cousin Ann Marie, my parents, Dan's mom and our nephew Quinn, and Joe, Haruko, JJ, and Patrick. After dinner our neighbor Pat and two of his kids came down for a visit. It was a great day!
