So a bit bizarre that Dan arrived in Switzerland on July 5th, 2008 and July 5th, 2010 is the day the Yodeling Elko's depart this beautiful country. We had to catch an early train to Zurich and our friends Sandra and Christina were gracious enough to rise early and drive us and our five suitcases and five carry-ons to the train station. It was a bit like a movie. We boarded the train, they stood on the platform, and we all waved. Very sad indeed. Sandra said that Ben just kept waving until they were out of sight.
We left with plenty of time but managed to be one of the last people to board the plane. We just love the Zurich airport and always loose track of time! Another bizarre thing is that our friends Laurent, Babeth, Julie, and Chloe were on the flight with us. They were flying to Orlando via O'hare. They were the first people that we knew in Switzerland so it was very fitting they were the people to escort us out of the country! We parted at baggage claim and found my dad who was anxiously awaiting our arrival.
