A year ago...

Last night we had our friends Didi, Sooze, Pia, Alena, Matt, and Sandra over for fondue. I had made Halloween cookies that the kids had fun decorating. Not "light" on the sprinkles....whoa!

We realized that it was a year ago this same weekend that we had these same people over for the same meal! (My parents were visiting) It was the first night Sandra met all of us. A year later and we easily consider these people some of our best friends. Susie and Didi have been great support and Matt and Sandra have gone through all the same ups and downs that we have in the first year of figuring out life in a new country. It makes me truly sad to think in nine months these people will not be a part of our daily lives. They have been an extremely huge part of what has been best about living here and I know that they will be lifelong friends no matter where we live.
