Balloons in Chateau-D'oex

Today we set out for the 31st annual festival international de balloons in the town of Chateau-D'oex. We went with our friends Josh, Andrea, and their daughter Hannah. The guys had decided before hand that taking the train was our better option and it worked out nicely and the kids were all well behaved on the train. It was a beautiful ride with breathtaking views of the blue skies and snowy mountains.

The balloons were amazing. None of us had ever been that close to a hot air balloon before. It was so interesting to see how they fill them and get them up in the air. The balloons were taking off one after the other and they disappeared behind the mountains so quickly. Zoe really wanted to take a ride in one!

Zoe also wanted to be a guest blogger today, so here is her entry:

Zoe: On Sunday we want to see hotearballoon with friends and we saw a turkey balloon. and eat Big hotdogs Mmmm. I Loved it. it was good. and it was the Best.
(this is exactlly how she wrote it, most of the words were in cursive!)

Enjoy the pictures. Its really hard to capture the event in words!
