79th International Auto Show - Geneva

Sam and I got up early to go to the International Motor Show in Geneva today. I figured it was a great opportunity for both of us to see cars that we would never see in our daily lives. It is a huge auto show and all of the major international automakers are there.

Sam wanted to see the Ferrari's first. It was very crowded, but he loved seeing the Formula 1 car. We then we made our way over to Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, Audi, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Porsche, Mercedes, Rolls Royce, and the list goes on.

One of the major highlights was seeing the tail end of a Honda presentation with ASIMO, the world's most advanced humanoid robot. I had to prop Sam up on my shoulders to get a look, but it was worth it, he was amazed, actually we were both amazed.

Sam also had the chance to sit in a few of his favorite cars, specifically a Smart Car and a Ford. That's right, a Ford. Apparently Sam is leading the rally of the American automotive industry with a passion for Ford cars and trucks. He got to sit in a new Ford Ranger, British-style, and I had to explain to him that in some parts of the world they drive on the other side of the road. I don't think he understood, but he was pretty excited to sit in a Ford truck no matter which side.

It's good for us he doesn't have expensive tastes, because the chances of him sitting in the $1.5M Bugatti were pretty slim. - Dan
