Happy Easter everyone! We returned yesterday from our week in Italy. We had a fantastic time. I can say that now, because it seems like all the time spent in the car and whining kids is only a faint memory!! We picked up Zoe and Sam from school last Friday and headed out. First off, let me just say that our GPS, "Eunice", does not know a thing about Italy. She was completely confused the entire time and had us driving in circles again and again! Lots of laughs....usually. Dan had booked a hotel outside of Verona for the first night so we didn't have to try and make it all the way to Venice. We got stuck in Milan traffic....think L.A. Although I wonder if in L.A. there is some respect for lanes? I don't even think in Italy they bother painting the lines on the highway. There is no point, NOBODY obeys them...making merging LOTS of fun... Eunice also couldn't find our hotel and the entire trip took at least two extra hours than originally planned! But we finally had place to sleep and were fed a decent breakfast before we headed on towards Venice, Italy.
