Stitches

Well it should be no surprise to anyone that Benjamin is our first child to require stitches. Ben and I were at the Morges hospital until midnight last night. The accident occurred well after our monkey should have been in his bed and asleep.... He cracked the back of his head on the ledge next to his bed. Probably not the best place for his bed....hindsight is 20/20, right?!

He was a trouper though! We were taken within 10 minutes and our nurse, Christophe put some numbing gel on Ben's head and then we had to wait 45 minutes for it to work. Then our doctor, Thomas stitched him up. Ben didn't cry and laid very still during the entire procedure. I think he got about 5 stitches. We'll have to go back to the pediatrician next week to have them removed.

Ben received a certificate of bravery before we left. He was very proud of it!

Always excitement in the Elko family! Glad it went as well as could be expected and everybody in on the mend!
