Fete de la Tulipe

It is the 40th anniversary of the Tulip Festival here in Morges. I must say, the town has gone all out. There seem to be more tulips than ever before (I'm talking like I've been to this thing all my life)! More than last year, that's better. The children decorated large wooden tulips that are displayed throughout town. The school children had a parade last Friday and there are different themes each weekend. The festival lasts from April 2 - May 16. There are 200,000 bulbs planted in 200 different varieties! Quite impressive. My pictures can't quite capture the beauty when you stand in the park and see tulips as far as the eye can see. The weather has been cooperating and I know my mother-in-law, who arrives tomorrow is ready to take it all in!
