Well not really, but it was sad to see our friends Travis and Tamanna leave this morning. The sun is shining, something they didn't get to see all weekend here in Morges! ERRRRRRR. They arrived on Friday afternoon, in the rain. Dan picked them up at the train station and brought them back to the flat. They showered us with brown sugar, baking powder, granola bars, pacifiers, and diapers!!! It was like Christmas! We showed them around Morges after Zoe got home from school and Dan cooked us a nice supper.
The next day we took our guests to the open market in Morges and then packed up and took the train into Lausanne. Again, it rained ALL day! As if walking the hills of Lausanne isn't difficult enough! But we managed to see the cathedral and some other highlights. Dan found a great little Italian cafe where we stopped for lunch. We parted ways at the train station, we headed home and Travis and Tamanna headed to Montreaux for a bit.
We ended the day on a high note though. Laurent, Babeth, and the girls came over and we enjoyed a great fondue dinner. It was our first time making fondue and Dan had bought a great fondue pot the day before. It was a very nice evening shared with friends.
Sunday, more rain...BUT not as bad and the sun actually appears for a few moments. Travis and Tamanna headed to Geneva and Dan, Zoe, and Sam met them there later in the afternoon. Ben stayed home with me and napped. The weekend went by so quickly. It was so wonderful to have familiar faces here. I hope the weather is better for them as they travel through Switzerland the rest of the week. Fall has definitely arrived. The sun is shining today, but it is very chilly. I got out the hats and mittens for the kids!
It will be nice to have Dan home for two weeks before he travels again. This morning he made a to-do list of all the unfinished forms we need to complete and errands we need to run. Tonight is my second French lesson. I guess we are back into the routine!

Sounds like you made the best of the poor weather and still enjoyed your company. Less than 3 weeks and your parents will be there...right?!? Yes...fall is slowly arriving in IN as well. Enjoy your week....we love the updates!
